$99999 is the limit allowed
I would ( and would think others would want to have the ability/option to set as high a price as possible
thanks
In my experience @jch159 high dollar domains aren't really sold at auction? You can of course acquire domains at auction and sell them as well but once you get to six and seven figure pricing that's something not typically done through auction. Of course there are special auctions for high demand domain names but those are rare? I remember reading what Facebook paid for fb.com but those kind of transactions are more private sale than auction.
Nice to know that you feel you have six figure domains in your portfolio, I don't have any in mine. As far as I am aware no domain this year has sold for more than five figures at auction? Again, I've not had any six figure domain sales but I'm not so sure the best place for it would be an auction of I did? Happy domain selling!

Thats the beauty of capitalims/freedom
the sky is the limit
godaddy should not limit that freedom
The reality is the price for any domain is what someone is willing to pay, I get that. GoDaddy isn't stopping you for selling your domain for the maximum value @jch159 but it is more likely that they just have a guarantee limit. Just like a casino might do I'm sure there are occasions GoDaddy may raise the table limit (so to speak) but probably not worth the effort overall? Remember this is an industry that didn't initially take the year 2000 into account.
If you have a high dollar domain(s) you should have no issue selling it but at six figures plus I'd need an attorney more than a domain broker? I don't know that capitalism and freedom are necessarily interchangeable?

Well I am sure that Capitalism and freedom are interchangeable 🙂
The ability to have a free market that demands a court system to insure good is rewarded and bad is punished is what allows that exchange
Anything else is a regulatory environment used to fool people into thinking they are being protected while the Regulator$ akaCongre$$ are only protecting their payoffs
Me or you do wrong..we go in front of a jury/judge
Those under a regulatory system do wrong...they go in front of congress
Capitalism is an economic and political system and the free market is an economic system so I can get with those being interchangeable. Freedom is the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved, you can't be both subjugated and have freedom?
At any rate even the free market model does not dictate that any business provide you with a service or their service a specific way. I say you should start Unlimited Domain Auctions, list your domains and provide the same service for others. Luckily the free market allows you to compete in business and demand dictates. You could sell or broker the first billion dollar domain @jch159.

Even people who are locked up live,,,economically, by a capitalist action
if they work, they are paid
if there is no pay and/or work
they still have an economic value system:
trade you 1 cig for 1 toilet paper etc
But my point was MORE towards the fact that a capitalist system is the most free system out there
nonetheless thanks for the discussion
and a billion sounds nice ( for the domain)
but the OPPORTUNITY TO TRY AND GET THAT BILLION...AS NICE 🙂
?
they offer a service and I requested a change of policy
🙂
