Change my shipping method

When customers check out through your store, they'll see the shipping method(s) you've selected (flat rate, weight-based, or carrier calculated methods) as well as any shipping charges, if applicable, in their order summary.

Note: If you add free shipping or a shipping fee directly to a product when you add package shipping weight and dimensions, the shipping for that item is not restricted and can be ordered by anyone in the world.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Scroll to Websites + Marketing and select Manage next to your site.
  3. In your Dashboard, select Commerce and under Settings choose Shipping Methods.
  4. Select your Delivery Method.
    1. If your business offers Local Delivery or In-Person Pickup select Add to the right of either option.
      Add Local Delivery or Pickup
      • Fill in the required fields and Save. (Local Delivery is currently limited to 100 postal codes.)
    2. Choose Add to set up basic flat rate, weight-based or carrier calculated shipping methods as well as the potential parameters for offering free shipping on orders.
      Select Add
      • Follow the instructions for the method you choose using the tabs below.
  1. Select Add next to one of the Basic Shipping Methods.
  2. Note: Configure multiple versions of any shipping method with different settings to ship to specific states, regions and countries.
    • Free Shipping: Set a minimum amount for an order to qualify for free shipping. In addition, create a coupon to offer temporary free or discounted shipping.
    • Flat Rate Per Order: When selling items not impacted by multiple quantities in an order, like 1 sticker vs. 10 stickers shipped in a single envelope, flat rate may be a good option.
    • Percentage Rate Per Order: If you sell various types of items it may be best to charge a shipping fee based on a percentage of the order total.
    • Weight-based: Calculate shipping based on the weight of the item(s) you're shipping. The weight is determined when you add package shipping weight and dimensions.
  3. Name your shipping method using the What customers see when selecting this method field.
    • It's a good idea to note the average shipping time as part of your description.
  4. Complete any other fields, such as type of rate to apply to every order, charge per order, or different costs for different weights.
  5. If you wish to restrict countries or regions you want to ship to, select Edit.
    • After you add the country or countries to your list, some countries will give you the option to further restrict shipping to specific states, provinces, or territories using the edit icon.
  6. Select Save.
  1. Select Add next to one of the Carrier Calculated Shipping Methods, which can be used to ship domestic and international orders.
    • United States Postal Service (USPS): Choose which USPS shipping options you want to offer. If you need more info, select the Learn more links to visit USPS's landing page where the methods are described.
    • United Parcel Service (UPS): You must have a UPS Access Key to use this method. Sign up for a UPS account to get your access key. After you've added your access key, fill out the Support & Services field, and decide how you want to box your products under Shipping Boxes.
  2. Complete the fields for whichever carrier you chose.
  3. Select Save.
Note: Carrier-based shipping methods are based on both your business info and your regional info, not your shipping address (if different).
You may need to update your shipping location, region and currency to match the origin of your shipment.
  • At the top of this Shipping page, you'll see the address where you are shipping from. Select Change location to set a new shipping address.
  • To change your region info:
    1. In your Dashboard, select Commerce and under Settings choose Shipping Methods.
    2. The Regional Info section (which you need to change) is directly below the Business Info section (which does not affect shipping).
      • If you cannot change the Regional Info, you may have enabled Marketplaces. Call or chat with one of our award-winning Guides for help.
