Is the POS hardware bought or leased?
Currently, you need to purchase the POS hardware (Leasing options may become available in the future).
How can I choose the right POS system for my business?
If you have a physical store where you conduct most of your sales, we recommend the Smart Terminal which is an all-in-one POS device that meets all your in-store needs. It has dual screens - one for you and one for your customer - that makes the checkout experience smooth. It comes with built-in payment processing, receipt printer, barcode scanner and all the essentials you need.
If you primarily sell on the go at places like events, food trucks, or farmer’s markets, the Card Reader may better suit your needs. How do I set up the GoDaddy POS System for my business?
Set up is quick and easy and takes just a few minutes. The Quick Start Guide included with your device shows the steps to take.
What kind of accessories or peripherals are compatible with the GoDaddy POS System?
The Smart Terminal includes the Power adapter and docking station that enables you to connect other accessories such as kitchen printers, cash drawers, and barcode scanners.
For the Card Reader, the Charging dock is included.
Docking stations for either device can also be purchased separately if needed as a backup or replacement.

How long does it take for funds to appear in my bank account?
For transactions that are processed on a business day before 5 PM PST, the funds will appear the next business day. If the transactions are processed on a business day after 5 PM PST, the funds will appear in 2+ days. Transactions processed on a Friday will not appear until after the weekend.
Can I take payments without POS hardware equipment?
If you want to start without any hardware, you can download the GoDaddy mobile app on your smartphone and use it as a mobile POS system to take card payments.
How long does it take for the POS system to ship?
Your POS comes with free 2-day shipping. After your POS order has been approved, we’ll ship out the device that same day if the order is received prior to 12:30PM Pacific Time on a business day so you receive it in 2 business days. If the order is received post 12:30PM PT, or on a weekend, it will ship out the next business day. For example, if the order is received before 12:30PM PT on a Tuesday, we’ll send it out that day so you’ll receive the device by Thursday afternoon. If you place an order on a Saturday, then we’ll ship it out on Monday so you’ll receive it by Wednesday afternoon.
Do I need the mobile app to use the Card Reader?
Yes. You must pair the Card Reader with the GoDaddy mobile app to take payment.
Are there any restrictions on who can use GoDaddy Payments?
