Edit your WordPress theme using FTP
Required: Before making any changes to a WordPress theme, create a child theme, install and then activate it. If you don't have a child theme, every time your theme updates, any changes you made will be undone.
You can make custom changes to the CSS of your WordPress theme through FTP. Here's how to do it.
- Connect to your hosting using FTP on Linux Hosting (with cPanel) or Managed WordPress.
- Navigate to the /wp-content/themes folder.
- Open the folder that contains your child theme.
- Locate and edit the style.css file.
- Save your changes and upload the file.
