Google Business Messenger is being discontinued
Since 2023, Google's Business Messages has integrated with GoDaddy Conversations to allow subscribers to receive messages from their customers using Google Search and Maps, and to view and reply directly from their Conversations unified inbox.
Google is now discontinuing this service, which means it will no longer be available to GoDaddy Conversations customers.
When will the service be discontinued?
Google has announced that Google Business Messages will be discontinued on July 31, 2024.
What does this mean for me?
Once Google Business Messages is discontinued, it will no longer be available on any platform. In Conversations, you’ll still be able to use all the other channels currently available, including Gmail, Microsoft 365, Facebook and Instagram, as well as chat and web contact forms if you have a website, and business calling and texting if you’ve subscribed to the standalone Conversations plan. Your Google Business Messages conversation history will remain in your Conversations inbox but you won’t be able to respond to any of those messages.
