Online Pay Links error: Pay Link Not Found
When someone opens one of your pay links and sees the Pay Link Not Found error, this means that the checkout page cannot be found at that web address. There are two common reasons: the domain you used is not connected correctly to your Online Pay Links, or that individual pay link was deleted or deactivated.
| What happened | What your customers see |
|---|---|
| Your domain is not connected correctly | The error appears on every pay link that uses that domain. |
| The pay link was deleted or deactivated | The error appears only on that pay link while other pay links that use the same domain still work. |
Step 1: Check whether the pay link is still active
- Sign in to the Dashboard where you manage your GoDaddy Payments account (use your GoDaddy username and password).
- From the left menu, select Pay Links.
- Ensure that Links is selected at the top and then look for the pay link that returns the error.
- If you cannot find it on the list or links, the pay link is probably deleted, which causes the error. In this case, you should create a new pay link.
- After you locate the pay link, select
icon next to it.
- Select Activate to get the pay link working again.
- If you see Deactivate, the link was active when it returned the error, so you should check if the issue was caused by the domain that wasn't connected correctly.
Step 2: Reconnect your pay link domain
The Pay Link Not Found error can also be displayed when your domain is not connected correctly to Pay Links. To fix this, we advise disconnecting and reconnecting the domain.
You should be mindful of the following:
- Reconnect the same domain to bring your existing pay links back. If you connect a different domain instead, the links you've already shared on your old subdomain will not work.
- Only domains registered with GoDaddy can be connected to Online Pay Links. If your domain expired, or you transferred it to another registrar, renew it or transfer it back before you reconnect.
