Set up my Business Phone number

With GoDaddy Conversations, get in touch with your customers with a dedicated business number. You'll be able to exchange text messages and talk on the phone with your clients. Your customers can send you images (jpg, png and non-animated gif files) and leave you voicemails when you’re unavailable. There’s no additional cost to get and use a Business Phone number with Conversations.

Note: Calling and texting is only available for U.S. phone numbers.

Initial setup

  1. Open GoDaddy Conversations.
  2. Sign into your GoDaddy account.
  3. Select the website to use with Conversations and with Website Messaging.
  4. Tap Add Number in the Business Call & Text section.
    Tap Text button
  5. Enter a 3-digit U.S. local area code of the city or region where you do business.
  6. Tap the phone number you want to use.
  7. Tap Connect to get your dedicated business number.
  8. On the setup page, you'll see your new Business Phone Number.
  9. Connect the additional channels you'd like to use.
  10. Tap Continue to complete the setup process.
  11. You can use GoDaddy Conversations to contact your customers.

Account page

If you didn't set up a Business phone number during the initial setup, you will have an opportunity to set up a number on the Account page.

  1. Open GoDaddy Conversations.
  2. Log in to your GoDaddy account.
  3. Tap Account in the lower-right corner.
    Tap Text button
  4. Tap Add Number under the Business Calling & Text.
    Tap Text button
  5. Enter a 3-digit U.S. local area code of the city or region where you do business.
  6. Tap the phone number you want to use.
  7. Tap Connect to finalize your selection.
  8. On the Account page, you'll see your new Business phone number.
