Redirecting to Https://domain on CloudFront

Hello - I have an issue where we are hosting our new site in AWS via Cloudfront.  Therefore we have a forward on our domain to this new setup.  Everything works great, however if you go to https://<actualdomain>.com it will not resolve.  If you go to http://<actualdomain>.com or https://www.<actualdomain>.com it works perfectly.  This post seems to show that it can be done by staying on GoDaddy: https://www.godaddy.com/community/Managing-Domains/Godaddy-Domain-Does-Not-redirect-when-you-add-htt...

Has anyone else seen this and have been able to fix it?  Thanks!

It reminds me of an infinite redirect that happened to us with flexible SSL on Cloudflare but the issues is general for any proxy / CDN services. I found a couple of discussions on this - e.g., https://stackoverflow.com/questions/27193575/wordpress-cloudfront-flexible-ssl-ends-up-in-redirect-l...

You can try to enforce redirect to https (strict / full) mode.

I've worked around (not only) SSL security for over 20 years in enterprises and startups.

I am now running an HTTPS expiry management service KeyChest.net
