So, what’s your story? What led you to GoDaddy?

Ultimately, this incredible culture is what led me to GoDaddy.

I was made redundant after 14 years of working in financial services. I lead up another role prior to joining. However, something wasn’t quite right about their culture. I was furloughed for 6 months and then as the pandemic developed, I was again let go. This gave me time to reflect on what I wanted and made me realise that longevity was of utmost importance to me. I came across a post on LinkedIn for an opportunity with GoDaddy. I was very excited but also nervous, given my background was not technical in nature.

I am 110% happy that this company gave me a chance and continues to provide support on a professional and personal level.

If you could pick one theme for GoDaddy to turn into a book or movie, what would it be?

“Spider-Man: No Way Home!”

Here at GoDaddy, We face our challenges head on. We tackle issues that need to be taken care of, but most of all, we #JoinForces to ensure our customers and our colleagues are given the super hero support they all deserve!

How has GoDaddy helped you grow as an individual?

I have had lots of experience in various roles outside of GoDaddy and thought coming to the company would just be an extension of this. This was the case with most of the work itself. However, the care for others is much greater here than anywhere else I have worked. GoDaddy values its “human’s first” approach. The expectation for GoDaddy employees is genuine respect and support for one another and our customers. Whether you are the person answering the support calls or the CEO — I have learned that this company cares for everyone!

I have recently been promoted to a Sr. Supervisor and won a Luminaries award. This award was created to honor leaders and organizations for their outstanding commitment to strengthening local communities. I am beyond proud of my accomplishments and feel very blessed to excel in a positive culture — one that keeps the “human’s first” approach at the forefront.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love spending time with family and making sure to let go of the work! We are a gaming family. Therefore, we spend a lot of time playing Fortnite and Roblox, where we can enjoy virtual multiplayer video games, together. My 7 year old takes up pretty much all of my time!

Additionally, I enjoy trying new foods (especially when it’s spicy)!

What’s the last song or podcast that you’ve listened to?

“Mr Brightside” by The Killers. It gives me such a boost!!

What is your personal philosophy, that you try to encompass in your day-to-day?

Don’t wait for it to come to you.

As someone who has enjoyed the #GoDaddyLife, why should job seekers join GoDaddy?

In my experience you can read a lot of information posted by other companies which sell you the dream. I would say that for GoDaddy, we are transparent in everything we do. All the information is there to make that educated decision.
