Our ‘Meet the Teammate Series’ offers a glimpse into the daily lives of a variety of recruiters in different parts of the business.

Tell us a little bit about yourself and what led you to join GoDaddy

I left university after doing business computing and went to work at a recruiting agency filing and hand-typing CVs back when recruiting looked a lot different and it grew from there. I’ve been a recruiter for 18 years ranging from engineering to nursing and corporate and I’ve enjoyed it all. I took a risk on GoDaddy because I had never heard of them when I got a call from an agency. It’s been a rewarding experience as I have been able to watch the company grow. When I joined, we were in a small office in Beeston and we’ve gone from 36 agents at the time to over 200+ agents in our Beeston location alone and also launched a state-of-the-art facility in Beeston. It’s been an amazing journey watching that growth and knowing that you contributed to this growth and seeing the agents I’ve hired grow into different roles and achieve a lot of success. I now lead the Care Recruiting team in EMEA based out of the UK.

Tell us about your favourite memories while working at GoDaddy

Beeston Office Opening Carnival

One of my favourite memories is when we had the opening carnival of the Beeston office, we had an entire carnival set up and we got to spend time with colleagues in such a fun setting. I’m looking forward to being able to see our colleagues again in person when we re-open the office.

On the personal side, I’m a mother and married with two girls who are my world. There have been numerous opportunities for my kids to be a part of what we are doing at work, and I have also really enjoyed all of the incredibly fun moments before COVID. We had a family Halloween event and my daughters got to come to the office and enjoy Halloween with me.

The last memory that I also really enjoyed was when we had a mental wellbeing day where we had micro pigs at the office because animals are shown to increase happiness and mental wellbeing. It was quite fun to have micro-pigs around and not something I imagine any other company to have done.

Tell us a bit about the teams you recruit for and what we look for in those team members.

We recruit for Outbound and Inbound Care Agents and work in Beeston at a state-of-the-art building. It’s a really great career path, the training is the best in the industry and we have a competitive salary and commission for our agents but most of all we have a great culture where they can grow and do what they love both at the office and outside of work. Given that we provide comprehensive training we’re looking for people who can engage in easy-going conversation, with a great tone of voice. Agents should possess a great work ethic and openness to training and feedback, ideally, they have a customer service background but if they can deal with customers and are great listeners able to provide solutions to those who need assistance, we provide the rest through our training.
