    Trouble connecting MySql Database from an ASP script

    I'm running the Snitz forum script in classic ASP and connected to a MySQL database. No matter how I change the connection script, I get the error:  Unknown MySQL server host '148.72.232.169:3306'

    The connection script I'm using is:
    strDBType = "mysql"
    strConnString = "driver={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver};option=16387;server=148.72.232.169:3306;user=hivp_snitz;password=secret2017;DATABASE=hivpzri_snitz_forum;" '## MySQL w/ MyODBC v3.51

    I have tried replacing the server id with just the ip address of the MySQL server 148.72.232.169, and also tried localhost. But still get the same error:

    The database could not be opened !!
    Code : 80004005

    Error Description :
    [MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver]Unknown MySQL server host '148.72.232.169:3306' (11001)

    Am I using the correct IP address for the database server? Or am I missing something?

    Thanks for your help

    Yep. I found the problem. I changed the script by changing/adding:

    option=3; server=148.72.232.169; Port=3306;

    The old script worked perfectly on the other Win12 server, but this one (GoDaddy) must be setup differently, or something..
