Updates galore: WordPress 4.1.2, WordPress 4.2 and WordPress 4.2.1

All the updates

It’s been a busy week for WordPress updates. (Earlier this week, there was a XSS vulnerability that affected a number of popular plugins in the WordPress community. You should update your WordPress plugins as noted there.)

As a part of the services we provide with GoDaddy Managed WordPress, we keep your site updated with the most recent version of WordPress so you always have the latest features and security upgrades. Our goal is to update Managed WordPress accounts within 48 hours of the release date.

WordPress.org just released two three back-to-back updates:

The 4.1.2 security release was deployed to all GoDaddy Managed WordPress sites on April 23. The 4.2 general feature release is scheduled for Monday, April 27. [Update: The 4.2 release has now been included in the 4.2.1 release.] Due to the unusually short timeframe between these releases from WordPress.org, we’ve allowed for a couple of extra days of testing.

In a nutshell, here’s what’s happening with Managed WordPress.
